About Delete Addiction Network (DAN)

Our Mission
Delete Addiction Network (DAN) is a nonprofit public benefit corporation committed to eliminating addiction through innovation, education, and collaboration. We exist to unite leaders from technology, healthcare, philanthropy, and the recovery community to design bold solutions that address every stage of addiction—from prevention to treatment to long-term recovery.

We believe that the crisis of addiction requires a network effect: a coalition of founders, donors, researchers, and advocates who are willing to act boldly, share knowledge, and invest in breakthrough ideas. By working together, we can build a future where addiction no longer dictates lives.

Jonathan Walston, PhD – Founder & Executive Director

Jonathan Walston is a healthcare, technology, and neurotech leader with more than a decade of experience bridging innovation, technology, quality systems, and human-centered solutions. He has held leadership roles at multiple companies including Neuralink, where he built quality systems in one of the world’s most advanced brain-computer interface companies.

Founding the Delete Addiction Network (DAN) was born from his conviction that addiction cannot be solved by a single company, nonprofit, or government program. It will take a movement—bringing together innovators, donors, and advocates who share a vision of a world free from addiction.

Jonathan’s mission is simple but bold: to delete addiction in our lifetime by harnessing the best of science, technology, and human collaboration.
